About Mike Dunaway

Mike Dunaway is considered the pioneer of organized long-driving. A former University of Central Arkansas fullback, Dunaway was injured during his junior year and decided to pursue golf as a career.

After moving to Las Vegas , Dunaway created the Sands Hotel's Slam-Am Golf Tournament. He invited the world's longest drivers to participate with the Sands Hotel's casino guests in a scramble format. The event was a huge success. From this success, Dunaway formed the 350 Club.

The 350 Club was made up of the world's best long-drivers, proven in competition. The group traveled around the world demonstrating power-golf skills.

One by-product of the 350 Club was a young Las Vegas Golfer who loved long-driving. This golfer later became a member of the 350 Club and won the NLDC. The young golfer was Art Sellinger. Sellinger is the most powerful name in long-driving and is solely responsible for defining it as a legitimate sport.

Mike Dunaway is the producer of the Make Everything putting system, along with former University of Arkansas golf coach Bill Woodley. He is also the producer of The World's Best Driver, a golf instruction video featuring Dunaway himself, available on this web site. Dunaway is the host of Golfing Arkansas , which aired statewide from 1994 through 2004.
